Certis Phone Mobile App (IOS)
Introduction
This is a guide for IOS users on how to install the Certis Phone mobile application.
Initial Setup
- Download the latest version of Certis Phone on the App store.
- After the app has been installed, launch the Certis Phone App.
- Once the app is launched, click at 'Settings' icon. Then press the “+” icon to add an extension.

User need to update the following fields:
Username: {Extension number}
Password: {Extension password}
Subdomain: {Hosting domain name}
Account registration screen
Once the account status shows “Registered”, the app is ready for receiving and making outbound calls.
- After logging in with the correct extension credentials, the signal icon will change to Green colour -
. If the signal icon displayed as Red colour
, this means that there was an error during registration. Re-enter the login credentials again.
**Please note that the Certis Phone apps will remain open in the background. Users can also launch a different application simultaneously.
In-app Permissions
After installing the Certis Phone application, there are a few things you have to manually configure. This is to ensure the best user experience on the app. The in-app permissions are highlighted below:
1. After initial boot-up of the Certis Phone, it will request permission to send users Notifications. Press "Allow."
2. The Certis Phone will also request access to your Contacts. Press "Allow."
3. Lastly, the Certis Phone will need to access your Microphone to work. Press "Allow."
4. Alternatively, you can always go your iPhone Settings to find the Certis Phone and change the Permissions there. See the image below.

Making Outgoing Calls
- Access the dial screen by tapping on the "keypad" icon at the bottom.

There are a few ways to make a call. One is to enter a number onto the dialpad and tap on the call button.

Another way is to tap on a number from the call history list for a quick call back.
- To add a number as a contact from the call history list, tap on the circle icon on the right followed by the plus sign on the top right.
Receiving an Incoming call
- For Incoming calls, press the Blue button to accept and the Red button to reject a call.

Transferring Calls

While on a call, tap on the dial pad and tap on "more" and choose "Transfer". Key in the Extension number or phone number to be transferred to, and tap on the green bar to initiate the transfer.
Multi-party conferencing
- While on a call, press the “ +” button, on the dial, then type in the extension number, and tap on the green button followed by the "merge" button to engage in multi-conferencing.
- To split the call while still in the conference, tap on the "Split" button. This allows you to have a one-on-one conversation with another participant without leaving the conference.
- To swap from one split call to another split call, tap on the "Swap" button.
Checking Voicemail
1. To check your voicemail, simply dial *97 on the dial pad and initiate the call by tapping on the green bar below the dialpad.

During the call, you'll be prompted to enter your voicemail ID and password. To enter, tap on the dialpad icon and type the credentials.
Troubleshooting Issues
- If user experiencing any issue with the app, please kill the app from the background and relaunching it.
- Whenever a user has issues making calls, check the antenna/signal status. If it shows Green
, that means the connection is stable and calls can be made. If it shows as Red
, please check your internet connection.
