Introduction
Welcome! This is a guide for Android users on how to install the Nautilus Connect mobile application. This lets Nautilus users access their calling solution on their smartphones and take calls on the go.
Initial Setup
- Download the latest version of Nautilus Connect on the Google Play store.
- After the app has been installed, launch Nautilus Connect.
- Once the app is launched, press the “+” icon to add an extension.
- Remember to update the following fields:
Username: {Extension number}
Password: {Extension password}
Subdomain: {Hosting domain name}
Account registration screen
- After logging in with the correct extension credentials, the signal icon will change to Green colour -
. If the signal icon displayed as Red colour

Once the account status shows the icon, your Nautilus Connect is ready to make or receive calls.
**Please note that the Nautilus Connect app will remain open in the background. Users can also launch a different application simultaneously.
In-App Permissions
After installing the Nautilus Connect application, there are a few things you have to manually configure. This is to ensure the best user experience on the app, so make sure to allow permissions for the following activities. Check out the image below for reference:

Making and Answering Calls
- Tap on the keypad button
at the top of the screen to open the dial screen.

Dialling a Number Directly
- Access the dial screen;
- Enter the phone number on the keypad;
- Tap on
to dial out with SIP account; or select "New Contact" to add the number as a contact quickly.
Receiving an Incoming call
- For Incoming calls, press the Green button to accept
and the Red button
to reject a call.

Transferring Calls
When transferring calls on Nautilus Connect, users have two options:
1. BLIND TRANSFER
- To directly transfer a call to another extension, click on the transfer icon
as shown on the interface below.

- Enter the receiving party's extension number accordingly on the input box that pops up.
- Confirm blind transfer by pressing the
green transfer icon.
2. ATTENDED TRANSFER
Attended transfers, also referred to as "Warm Transfers" in a contact centre environment, require a consultation with the receiving party before completing the process.
- To initiate an attended transfer, select the
icon on the interface.
- Input the receiving party's extension on the pop-up window that appears. Press the
icon to initiate a consultation call with the receiving party. Refer to the screenshots below:
- After confirmation from the receiving party, press the
to complete the transfer process.
Multi-party conferencing
- While on a call, press the
attended call button and enter the third party's extension number on the pop-up window that shows up.
- After the third party receives the call and confirms their availability for a conference call, press the
call merge button .
Checking Voicemail
- From the Dial pad type *97 and
to access your voicemail.
- Tap on the dial pad icon
, then key in the voicemail ID and password.
Troubleshooting Issues
- If user experiencing any issue with the app, please kill the app from the background and relaunching it.
- Whenever a user has issues making calls, check the antenna/signal status. If it shows Green
, that means the connection is stable and calls can be made. If it shows as Red
, please check your internet connection.
